Marc's Running Thoughts on Lost...

Jim says...
"Hi there Hurley"...
Dude, you're speaking English.
No, your speaking Korean?
Who's the big chicken?
Nice dream, Heavy D!

So, Jin DOESN'T speak English.

Anna Lucia is abusing Sawyer. Do we care?

Does Hurley have the same Mary statue on his TV that holds heroin from the plane crash?

Bernard IS my husband. Rose knows her husband is still alive.

Hurley's boss was in the chicken suit.

Hurley and his friend were singing Driveshaft.

40 left and 23 left... 63? Does that mean anything?

Another underground shelter? And are those BONES in the corner or kindling? There "were" 23. Cannabalism?

Sorry Hugo, you don't get to quit... the parallel was quitting his job at the chicken place.

Is Hurley going to blow up the food? He can't let WHAT happen again?
It must refer to losing his friend over the money.

Partytime!

Bernard IS alive!
Rose has "the Shine", is Michael's long lost mother, Walt is her grandson.

Scenes from next week...
Michael is cleaned up.

Why did Hurley hide the fact that he had won the lottery from DJ Qualls?

I thought at first the other people in the other bunker were cannibals, than we met bernard, no way he would be a cannibal

OK,here's what I think happened to the ones who didn't survive. Remember that Danielle AND Desmond seemed very concerned about if anyone had gotten sick? Also, Desmond's bunker had obviously been lived in and Bernard's bunker seemed abandoned. I think the ones who have died have gotten "sick" from whatever killed Danielle's partners. And, that the original inhabitants of Bernards bunker have also died from this sickness. The question remains, then, why are Desmond and the people living around Desmond's bunker apparently immune? Does it have to do with the electromagnetic field? hmmmmm?......

Going on the last comment, if everyone in that bunker died, maybe that is how all of the animals (shark, polar bear, etc.) escaped.

Does that Dharma sign look anything like the sign on the back of the CD Hurley picked up in the music store? If you look on losties.com it will show you a black and white picture of the dharma sign with a swan painted in the middle which is just backwords of being the "2" in D2 reflected on that CD. Just a thought..

I remember Michael talking to his mother in the airport with Walt nearby. I don't think Rose is Michael's mother, but she could still be Walt's Grandmother. Maybe Rose and Bernard were in Sydney for their daughter's funeral?

I recently found an interesting naturally occurring theory found in our world that states everyone has a mirror image somewhere in the world. You may have heard of this. Its called Rousseau’s genetic mirror theory, and I must say it is very interesting. Rousseau’s genetic mirror theory says that everyone in the world has an exact twin somewhere, however according to the theory you never encounter this person, by laws of probability and other natural occurring phenomenon. Its the theory that was devised by a French Mathematician named Marseille Roussau in the year 1988. He used a series of numbers to explain his theory. Now I know you’re not going to believe this but here goes.
4 8 15 16 23 42
Let me explain…
The 4 stands for 4 degrees of separation (not 6 or 7 as commonly stated.) Roussau believed that everyone in the world was connected by four different people. So in theory could meet yourself by using four different people connected to you. Example: Your brother’s, boss’s, neighbor nephew, knows your mirror. Hard to believe, I know but keep reading.
The 8 stands for the eight continent, or the only place in the world where you could meet your mirror. He calculated it to be somewhere in the south pacific. Now we know its not actually as large as the other continents but its used figuratively because everyone in all 7 continents could meet there mirror on the 8th universal continent.
The 15 stands for the chances of you actually meeting yourself on this place, as in 15 out of 4,815,162,342. Look at the second set “815.” Ring any bells? Interesting huh?
The 16 stands for the maximum amount of people that could encounter their twin all at the same time. Think about the number of main characters.
The 23 is the number of years apart your twin and yourself are. You are not the same age as your twin. By chance and probability it takes 23 years exactly for the same genes that made you to be connected again to form another you.
The 42 stands for the maximum number of years your twin and yourself can be alive at the same time. However people do die at different times so thats why everyone isn’t dead at 75. For example my twin was born on Sept. 6 2003 b/c i was born on Spet. 6 1980. Now that doesn’t mean i will die in the year 2045, I could, but its not set in stone. My twin could die when he is 16, and then the whole thing starts over again.
This is all very complicated and I don’t know how well I explained it but the connections with the show are too coincidental to not be real.
Roussau and his team (wife, included) went to the 8th continent. You can figure out how they died and why by the numbers and equations. It also fits with every character. You can predict when they will die. There are others on the island who are twins of the survivors, but have been there 23 years longer.
There is a book Roussau wrote 16 years ago in 1988 when he came up with the theory. Thats where I got it from.
Looks to be a red haring. Neither I, nor others, can find a reference to the author or the book anywhere. Also, I agree that 4 degrees of separation is too small. 6 or 8 is believable, as a matter of fact, I would have to think 8 is the most you normally would have to do, at least to get to anyone currently living. Now, I say you can’t say “I own Microsoft stock, so that makes me 1 degree separated from Bill Gates,” but some may disagree.
I doubt the person who tossed the bomb onto the raft was Daniel’s daughter. She would only be 17 or so…
The title was “Man of Science, Man of Faith,” which we would assume to be Jack and Locke, but perhaps it is Jack and Desmond.
Will they show Walt with the Others? Will we see what the Others are like now that Walt is with them?
The red symbol we see in the bunker… is a modified version of the hexagon of the I Ching From top, clockwise the symbol on the bunker we have “Li” which is “Fire”. “K’un” which is “Earth, the Receptive.” “Sun” which is “Wind or wood.” “Ch’ien” which is “Heaven, the Creative Force.” “K’an” which is “Water.” “Chen” which is in the same place on both, stands for “Thunder.” “Ken” which is the “Mountain.” Finally “Tui” which is the “Lake,” which is also in the correct spot. Though apparently, some words such as “Tui” can be translated differently, as it can also say “Swamp.” Sara points out it could be “West” or “Open” as well… So perhaps we need to figure the meanings out in the context of the show, and not as the above page put them. Sara thinks the text over the symbol says “dharma” with the R perhaps being backwards… Sara also notes for the two that are in the correct spot, if you were casting lots, you would read it as “converting the maiden” or “marrying the maiden” or “returning maiden”… again going in a clockwise direction (Chen then Tui). Going counter-clockwise (Tui then Chen) you get “following.”
